Leeds Jazz Festival 2023: Snazzback

Tickets are selling fast for our opening night show at this years Leeds Jazz Festival on 25th May.

Snazzback’s electrifying chemistry has wowed audiences at Ronnie Scott’s, festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown & Shambala and gained support from BBC radio heavyweights including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and Jamie Cullum.

The second wave of tickets are now available via eventbrite, don't sleep on this.

James Hennessy Cognac

Created for the house’s 250th anniversary back in 2015, this exceptionally rare cognac was named in honour of founder Richard Hennessy’s son, James, who established the house and hired James Fillioux as master blender. A member of the Fillioux family has occupied the role ever since, over 8 generations and over 200 years. 

Wonderfully delicate, incredibly well balanced with hints of mild tobacco and subtle toasty notes on the nose, with fresh apricot, pistachio and peach on the palate.

Jacob Savage Presents Ryan Hawkins      

Ryan Hawkins is a unique singer-songwriter with hints of Jazz, Blues and Soul inspired by artists spanning the decades and genres. His and Jacob’s distinctive arrangements covering everything from Frank Sinatra to Frank Ocean have become a favourite at the Domino.

 

THURSDAY - HARDBOP

We-Bop  
 

We-bop is a dynamic quintet from Leeds led by Anna Chandler and Tom Sharp. Specialising in music of the be-bop era, this group lovingly recreates the sounds of the genre, whilst injecting their sets with a wide range of more modern influences and original compositions.

 

FRIDAY - THE DOMINO SOUND

The Night Creatures Trio    

The Nightcreatures play New Orleans R&B inspired by the all-time NOLA greats: the recordings of Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair, and Tom Waits to name but a few. They draw repertoire from a varied mixture of New Orleans classics, old time Blues, traditional Spirituals and Mardi Gras,.

The Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience

Acclaimed singer Pat Fulgoni fronts this top-notch 5 piece Blues band already with European Blues festival dates under their belts Domino Club says "Pat is the real deal. you won’t find a finer Blues singer working today” Billboard Magazine USA said "Pat Fulgoni could sing a pearl from its oyster”.

The Domino Rhythm & Blues Band

The Domino Rhythm and Blues band are back for our late-night sessions with 2 sets of blistering Rhythm and Blues from Midnight - 2am!

The Oliver Wolf Trio       
Oliver Wolf and his trio are back with their own take on classic bangers.

Brothers On The Slide

Brothers on the Slide are one of Leeds top Funk + Soul bands. They specialize in putting their own spin on classic songs from artists such as The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and The Four Tops to name a few.

The Domino House Band   

Featuring an all-star cast from Leeds thriving Jazz-Soul and Funk scene.

 

SUNDAY - ROOTS

Leeds City Stompers     


With their beloved 1930s drum kits, shiny resonator guitars, tweed suits, washboards, double basses, banjos and brogues they bring to life to distant music forms that have informed all the Pop, Rock, Bop and Soul music that came after.
