Hello again! As ever there’s so much
creativity going on in Kirklees it’s impossible to cram it all into
our newsletter, so please see just some of the content we are sharing
here but do check out our website for more!
The 2023 Woven in Kirklees
Festival
kicks off on Saturday 3 June with “STRUT”, a
community catwalk where groups, students, and community members will
be strutting their stuff outside Dewsbury Town Hall and Kirklees Year
of Music will be hosting a music stage where you can enjoy live music
throughout the day. The Festival runs until Sunday 9th
July – you can check out their website to see everything that’s going
on.
With another school holiday
coming up why not take the children along to Bagshaw
Museum
or Oakwell
Hall to do one of the lovely musical trails they
are running as part of the Year of Music or maybe join one of the Children
and Family Art Workshops at Bagshaw and Tolson
Museum.
The full programme for the 2023-24
Kirklees Concert Season has been announced, with
a scaled-up programme of performances in Huddersfield & Dewsbury
Town Halls for Kirklees Year of Music 2023 with subscription packages
now on sale and single tickets going on sale on 1 June.
Finally do you know of any
makers out there who might like a
stall at Yorkshire Day at Oakwell Hall on 30 July
to showcase and sell their wares? Deadline for applicants is 28 May -
please share this opportunity with anyone you think might be
interested.
