Leeds
JazzFest @ Seven
This week at Seven Leeds Jazzfest brings three great jazz gigs to Seven
- Olivier Le Goas &
Reciprocity, Ubunye and Amy Clark Quintet.
But before getting into the jazz, don't miss Seven Live - George
Borowski tomorrow, Wednesday
8th June, 6.- 7.15pm. ‘Great songs delivered with pure
passion’. Tony Kirkham
– Stereophonics. In
Seven Bar PWYF.
The first jazz concert is on Thursday
9th June, JazzLeeds – Olivier Le Goas
& Reciprocity, a very special gig by an all-star
international band, led by French drummer Olivier Le Goas and featuring
a rare UK appearance by Yorkshire born pianist John Escreet. With support band
at 7pm - a
duo of Nic Svarc and Toby Evans; main band 7.50pm. £16 full / £14 conc. Under 25s £10.
Unfortunately, Ubunye on Friday 10th June is
SOLD OUT, but more jazz on Sunday
11th June, 1.30-4pm from JazzLeeds - Amy Clark
Quintet , whose contemporary takes on jazz standards are
inspired by artists Cécile McLorin Salvant and Theo Bleckmann. Doors 1.15pm. £10 full / £8
conc. Under 25s £5. Under 16s free.
This weekend look out for Seven's Pop-up – Northern Bowl with
bowls of goodness Mexican, Greek & Deep South – veggie, vegan and
meat options. Yummee!!
10/11/12 June (Friday 5-8pm Sat 12-8pn Sun 12-6pm).
On Saturday 11th June,
7.30pm, Cortona Productions
presents Free Birds. Ever fallen in love with someone you
shouldn’t have fallen in love with? This is a wickedly funny, fast
moving rom-com suitable for adults and older teens. £10 /£8 conc advance. £12 /£10
on the door.
And also on Sunday
12th June, 7pm, don't forget the Sunday Quiz, a great way to exercise
those little grey cells and end the weekend with friends and family. £5 per team, with prizes.
