Since
last meeting: Cassie has been planning, Barbara writing and typing up
stories, Alice has finished first draft of a picture book and
experimenting with POV for Project Nightmare, Gemma went to Thackray Medical
Museum for research and is reading Emotional Craft of Fiction.
The
group had a discussion about what Literary Fiction is.
Feedback:
Cassie
reread the scene where her character is remembering back, having edited it
following previous feedback. The group loved it and thought the edits really
brought the characters to life.
Barbara
read a short story. It was fun with a contemporary twist related to recent news
coverage, and we all enjoyed it.
For
next time:
Cassie
is away next time, so for the meeting after she will forge forward with 3 more
chapters written.
Barbara
will write another story.
Alice
is away on holiday.
Gemma
will continue with research and read more of the book.
