The BLF
2022 programme is now live!
As
the nation comes together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum
Jubilee, Bradford Literature Festival (BLF) is delighted to join
this royal jamboree later in the month with three special events
hosted by former royal correspondent Jennie Bond.
First up is journalist and author Robert Hardman who will discuss
his new book, Queen
of Our Times, praised for being the definitive
biography of the Queen.
Acclaimed author Wendy Holden delves into the life of Wallis
Simpson, one of the monarchy’s most controversial figures, in The Duchess –
the follow-up to her Sunday
Times bestseller The Governess, and part two in
her literary trilogy exploring infamous royal outsiders.
Authors Richard Aldrich and Rory Cormac will share the hidden
history of the Crown’s intriguing relationship with British
intelligence, the focus of their book The Secret Royals.
We are also exploring new magical fairy tales, rediscovering the
lives of historical figures who helped shape the world, and looking
at some truly extraordinary royals who will make you think twice
about what it means to be a king or queen.
