With thanks to my fellow blogger West End Wilma, here is the latest information on West End shows:


The UK & Ireland Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, which had just visited its first stop on the tour before Coronavirus shut down theatres, has announced that it will not reopen the doors it its lair once theatre is back up and running.

Top London Theatre Producer Sonia Friedman has released this statement today on her website soniafriedman.com
“British theatre is on the brink of total collapse. All the performing arts – theatre, dance, opera, comedy, theatre in education, Christmas pantomime, community shows – are facing the real possibility of complete obliteration. I know it sounds melodramatic. It beggars belief – but it is a statement of fact.
