began her career at Book Club Associates, before moving to the Orion
Publishing Group, where she was a Senior Commissioning Editor. She
then spent eight years as Editorial and then Publishing Director of
the Corvus commercial fiction imprint of Atlantic Books and also sat

Chris Beckett. Sarah O'Keefe represents literary and commercial
fiction, along with some middle-grade and YA fiction.
July 14:
Kate Evans of PFD
Kate
Evans is an agent representing books and journalism.
She says:
I'm looking for
non-fiction that says something about the way we live- from beautiful
narrative non-fiction with a strong voice to passionate manifestos
from experts in their fields. Whether it's popular science, big
ideas, nature writing, memoir, fresh approaches to history or
insightful takes on pop culture, I am drawn to writing that makes
social, political, and economic issues accessible and engaging.
On the fiction side I read widely but
the common thread that runs through most novels I love is a sharply
observed take on relationships and strong characters I'll think about
long after I've left them on the page.
September 22:
Fiona Baird of WME Agency
The
company was founded in April 2009 after the merger of the William
Morris Agency and the Endeavor
Agency. Endeavor represents artists in movies, television,
music, theatre, digital media, and publishing. Fiona works in the
London office as a literary agent. Her most recent deal was a
book entitled If
Then: How One Data Company Invented the Future"hidden
history" of data science by Jill
Lepore, a New Yorker writer and two-time Pulitzer
Prize finalist to John Murray.
