Dear everyone,
I'm going to go ahead and say it: we have PIVOTED. Our annual conference
programme is now online!
We're hosting twenty sessions over four days - conveniently spaced out to
allow you to soak up some M&P wisdom in between meetings, or home
school, or cat feedings, or exercise hour, or thinking-about-exercise hour.
Each day begins with its own keynote and ends with an interactive panel or
set of case studies. Over the course of the week we'll cover everything
from micro-influencers to media consumption, crisis comms to collaborations.
The theme of this year's conference is How We Work Now, because
frankly, even as I write this, I know that how we are working today might
be different from how we're working in a few weeks' time. It's an attempt
to encapsulate where we are, to see what we can learn, to anticipate the
future and to celebrate what we've managed thus far. It is full of
brilliant humans from inside and outside the industry like Natalie A. Carter
and Melissa
Cummings-Quarry from Black Girls Book Club, author and economist
Noreena Hertz,
The Drum's assistant editor Sonoo
Singh, Canongate's commercial director Jenny Fry, Radio 4's
Alison Finch,
Tandem Collective's cofounder Naomi

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gutted not to see you all at The Barbican
this year. But we've found some fun ways to get you interacting which we'll
share with you over the next week or so. We've seen via our free
panels how much of a sense of community we can foster even via our
screens. Whether you're still at work or on furlough (and we checked -
training is still permitted on furlough, and a great way to keep in touch
if it feels right for your team), this is a great time to come together,
share ideas, learn and celebrate. It's going to be a joy to meet you all in
this space.
