Things to do this weekend in Leeds, Bradford, Scotland and New York

Got plans for this weekend? For those of my followers who live in, near to or are visiting, here are a few ideas of things to do in Leeds, Bradford, Scotland and New York:

QUEER LADY M

Rikki Beadle-Blair
International Theatremaker & LGBT+ Activist

 Sunday 15th March at 5pm
It’s time for Queer Lady M’s cabaret! Performed by gender-fluid artist Shane Gabriel, Lady Macbeth comes to life like never experienced before.
There’s outrageous lip-syncing, cheeky dancing and sassy conversation as Queer Lady M invites you to enter her world of passion and shade.
But what happens when the show is over, when Shane removes the makeup and puts Lady M to bed? What stories will come to light as Shane invites us into his twilight world?
Find out in 1623’s funny and moving exploration of a unique relationship between a fierce drag queen and her anxious alter-ego, who join forces to fight tragedy and celebrate queerness.

Presented by 1623 Theatre Company

This performance will use The Difference Engine which broadcasts captions straight to your smart phone or tablet. If you would like to use this, please arrive with your device a few minutes early at The Holbeck to get set up.

Venue Info:

This event takes place up one set of stairs. There is a stairlift on our main staircase and we are currently raising funds for a lift to make the theatre fully accessible. If you would like to discuss your access requirements, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0113 226 0808.
Parking:

There’s a free car park at the club. The street immediately around the club is permit-holders only but there’s permit free parking on Holbeck Moor Road, which is the road that runs alongside the park just down the road.

Travel through the looking glass to a world of painted illusions where you can explore, play and become the art.

Alexa Meade and Rosè Mansion have partnered to create a new interactive 14,000 sq ft art exhibit that brings the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to life through mind-bending installations that blur the lines between art and reality.
