A rare chance to see a piece of Scottish
history

This year marks the 700th anniversary of the Declaration of
Arbroath.
A highlight of the year will be the opportunity to see the iconic
document at the National Museum of Scotland Friday 27 March–Sunday 26 April,
the first time it has been on public display for 15 years. Don’t miss
your chance to see this important piece of Scottish history up
close.
Enjoy related events throughout the display. Learn about the history and
significance of the declaration at a panel discussion (Friday 27 March)
and find out how ancient parchments are repaired and cared for at Preserving Parchment and Seals (Saturday
28 March).
The display is in partnership with National Records of Scotland.
