Hello New York,
Save your plane ticket money and travel the world this weekend with our inclusive and enriching weekend guide! 🌍
Why let a day go to waste when you can learn instead? Take one of these 1-day skill-building classes in NYC. 🎓💡
Don't Be A Tourist in New York is claiming to have the 411 on the underground, authentic and low-key NYC destinations. Can it be true? 🍷🍱
Your input matters! The Department of City Planning (DCP) is asking you what they should do to improve their next Comprehensive Waterfront Plan. 🌊😍

Events That Merge Culture
NYC is one of the most exciting, inclusive and popular in the world. We offer music and food from every culture you can think of and a host of flourishing establishments serving up dishes made by chefs with all kinds of accolades.
The nightlife explodes with traditional and modern performances from locals or those on tour. If you're searching for plans look into our latest guide. The Around The World In A Weekend Guide contains just a few of the many events happening in the city that lives up to our reputation as diverse, exciting and enriching.
Invest in Your 24 Hours
Want to one-up yourself but don't have time for seminars or series? Instead of devoting hours every day and days every week, get in some new skill sets in 24 hours. Learn about hosting, cooking, building and more by finding the right learning event for you.
How does a brew your own beer course sound? How about creating a 5 star knock your socks off fromage board in 1 day? Walk into one of these intensive hands-on classes in NYC clueless and leave as an expert.
Underground NYC
We're told there is a guide to investigating NYC like a native new yorker. Avoid being a tourist by taking a page out of, Don't Be A Tourist in New York by blogger Messy Nessy Chic. Does it seem cookie cutter based on that title alone? Maybe, but the blogger has a loyal following after the first installment in the series which explored Paris.
The book maps out locations across the city for those in search of vintage threads, authentic dining, and historic landmarks both over and under the radar. Give it a read and decide if it really does deliver some underground New York glam, or if it's amiss.
Get Involved
The Department of City Planning (DCP) asked the public to help them with their next Comprehensive Waterfront Plan this Wednesday. The event will be held on Governor's Island and is open to all ages, as long as visitors are interested in voicing their ideas to improve the 520 miles of waterfront currently available.
The day of brainstorming will include planning workshops and other opportunities on the issues of climate change, public access, and jobs. Show up to make sure your opinion is taken into consideration regarding NYC waters.
