At a Coffee Shop Somewhere in Your Neighborhood, a Writer Takes Some Much Needed Advice.

Knowledgeable Friend: You have such a way with words. You should get your writing published. [dunks biscotti into coffee]

Writer: I’ve tried. It’s impossible. I can’t. [sighs]

KF: Why not? [puzzled] It’s very good.

Writer: Sending out work can be demoralizing. And time-consuming, too. All that work sending out submissions—only to have them rejected. It takes a lot of time to research and figure out which markets are best for my work. I’d rather spend that time writing. [looks around at all the writers writing in the coffee shop]

KF: Well, that’s understandable. Why don’t you try that author submission service everyone is talking about? I just saw an ad for them in Poets & Writers magazine. [pulls Writer’s Relief website up on phone]

Writer: Are you sure they aren’t a scam? [furrows brow]

KF: Positive. They’ve been helping writers get published for over 26 years. Check out their testimonials. They’re the real deal. See for yourself. [passes phone]

Writer: [reads aloud] Writer’s Relief has been managing creative writing submissions for our selective client list since 1994. In the first half of this year alone, we helped our clients earn over 738 acceptances from editors and literary agents. Our personalized submission management makes the submission process more efficient and effective—and it frees our clients from the emotional burdens of making submissions.

KF: Told you. Spend time writing and drinking coffee—not researching and submitting.

Writer: So, anybody can join?

Dude on Laptop Two Tables Over: No. Only writers whose work is strong enough for submission assistance are invited to join the client list. And guess what—the Writer’s Relief Review Board is reading for new clients right now. I just submitted a short story but they also accept poetry, essays, and even books.

Girl Reading on Overstuffed Chair: But only until Thursday, August 22 so you'd better get moving.

Writer, right now is one of the best times of year to join the Writer’s Relief client list!

The autumn publishing rush starts right after Labor Day! Literary agents and editors will be sending out record numbers of acceptances. Don’t miss out—our Review Board is currently considering submissions of books (novels and memoirs), poems, stories, and essays.

Act now!

Deadline: Thursday, August 22

Quote Of The Week

I write only when inspiration strikes.

Fortunately it strikes every morning at nine o’clock sharp.

— W. Somerset Maugham

Is a published writer someone wearing a tweed jacket? Or is it someone peering through reading glasses and jotting notes at the library?

Actually, published writers come in all shapes and sizes, and could be anyone. That guy checking his cell phone. That woman walking her dog.

It could be you.

Writer’s Relief can help you target your submissions and boost your odds of getting published. We’re only halfway through the year and already our clients have received 583 acceptances! And over 19,000 acceptances since 1994.

Right now, we have limited space available on our client list.

Our Review Board is currently reading submissions in the following genres:

> Books (novels and memoirs)
> Poetry
> Short stories and short creative nonfiction

Your odds of getting acceptances increase when you submit to the RIGHT places in the RIGHT way at regular intervals. We can help make that happen.

Look in the mirror. Smile! A published writer looks just like YOU.

Act now. Send your writing samples to our Review Board today!

DEADLINE: THURSDAY, JUNE 20

Fine Print: 100% free, confidential, with no obligations. Send your strongest work. Full Service does require Review Board approval. Not all work is accepted.
