Dear Reader,

It’s been a week of sad endings and exciting beginnings as my son leaves the relatively small and safe confines of primary school and will soon be thrust into his much larger secondary school and have to figure out what all this means for him. What he will go forward with though is a) a brick phone (hooray) and b) great male role models, who aren’t afraid to show emotion. The tears shed by the Year 6 male teacher as he addressed his cohort of 11 year olds showed them why vulnerability can be a superpower – no matter what sex you are. It would be great if we could all remember that a bit more often.

Have a great week.

WHAT’S EXCITING ME THIS WEEK

How To Pull Off Leopard Print Decor

We’re owning our ‘childless cat lady’ vibes (thanks, JD) with our pick of how to decorate with leopard print: the key is not too much and not too little – just enough to show your wild side, and frighten off any uber right-wing Republicans.

Are You A Jeffer?

Runners in the know are seriously into jeffing – and it sounds like the fitness hack most of us could get on board with. It’s mixing in a bit of walking to your running regime, to help minimise fatigue and injury and help build towards distance goals. I’m all in.
