Summer Bands in Leeds Parks
There are plenty of
free concerts from the region's best brass, jazz and concert bands
to choose from in all parts of the city this July as part of
the Summer Bands in Leeds
Parks series.
From Swing Band at Cross Flatts Park in Beeston and Wakefield Orchestral
Wind at Farnley Hall Park to Brass Division at Temple Newsam and Kippax Band at Canal Gardens in Roundhay Park, there's
something for every musical taste.
Concerts take place every Sunday at 2.30pm until 29
September
Free admission, simply turn up and enjoy the music!

Harrogate Music Festival
Harrogate Music Festival is delighted to
welcome rising star violinist Esther Abrami
to The Crown Hotel, Harrogate this summer. She
will be dazzling audiences with a mix of traditional
classical repertoire as well as works from her new album, Cinema.
The festival also welcomes acclaimed choral vocal group Apollo5 for a candlelit concert and dynamic violin
and guitar duo Plínio Fernandes and Braimah Kanneh-Mason.

York Early Music Festival
The annual music festival celebrating
early music from the medieval to the Baroque returns
to York this July. This year's artists include vocal
specialists Concerto Soave, The Sixteen, and Vox Luminis,
plus versatile trio, Cubaroque, with a unique concert
mixing modern music from Cuba with Baroque classics from
Purcell and Monteverdi.

Classical Hits
Join the Orchestra of Opera North, conductor Paul Daniel, soprano Francesca
Chiejina, and tenor Mykhailo Malafii for an open-air
concert of classical favourites from the stage and silver
screen. Classical Hits includes some of the best-loved pieces from
popular operas including Georges Bizet's Carmen, Giacomo
Puccini's La bohème and Turandot, and
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro plus
iconic Hollywood soundtracks from Star Wars, Jurassic
Park, and E.T.

Cinema on the
Square is the open-air summer
cinema from Leeds International Film Festival that
celebrates movies and music on the big concert stage screen
in Millennium Square. This year, Cinema on the Square is
across three full days with new curated cinematic
collections including Concert Classics, Paris Stories and Family Films. See a favourite film or make a new
discovery, all in a unique outdoor concert venue in the
heart of Leeds.
