We've got an absolute treat to start the year off.
A 50 year old Petit Champagne Cognac from the incredible indie producer Fanny Fougerat. The fifth edition from their Hors-Série was made using Ugni Blanc grapes and matured for an impressive 50 years in French oak barrels. Aromas of sultana, plum and chamois leather fill the nose, leading to notes of lavender, candied orange peel and porcini mushrooms on the finish. A cognac of this age would usually retail for circa £80 a shot!
