Why not beat the
January blues with a trip to see some captivating live music!
Don't miss She'Koyokh's debut at The Old
Woollen this month - hailed as “one of the finest and most
entertaining British-based exponents of global music” by The
Guardian, this seven piece ensemble is a wild swirl of
clarinet, violin, jazzy guitar licks, accordion, bass,
dance-invoking percussion, plus sweet and passionate vocals.
There's plenty of
chamber music to choose from too including pianist Inon Barnatan, flautist Adam Walker with some of his
dearest musical friends, and our free lunchtime chamber music

Leeds International Concert Season

Inon Barnatan
American-Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan, a
member of the Leeds International Piano Competition jury in
2021, returns to Leeds with an intriguing combination of JS
Bach, Franz Schubert, and Sergei Rachmaninov. The concert
includes Inon’s own piano arrangement of Rachmaninov’s
explosive Symphonic Dances.

Black Dyke Band
The unmissable Black Dyke Band returns to
Morley with a programme that includes a selection from
the popular James Bond 007 Suite, the Finale
from The New World Symphony by Antonín

of Peace by Dorothy Gates featuring trombone
soloist Brett Baker, and much more.

She'Koyokh
London-based She'Koyokh has dedicated over two
decades to embracing the diverse folk music traditions of
Jewish Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the Balkans. The
ensemble’s live performances are an eclectic mix of
instruments and sound worlds. Watch the video for what you

Soprano Ailish Tynan joins flautist Adam
Walker, cellist Tim Posner, and pianist James Baillieu for
enchanting music by André Caplet, Maurice Ravel, and
Camille Saint-Saëns, plus Judith Weir’s astonishingly
beautiful Nuits d’Afrique, commissioned by Wigmore
Hall especially for Ailish Tynan for this unusual ensemble.

Music at Lincoln Cathedral, Jeffrey Makinson (22 Jan), and Organist and Director of Music
