Dear,

We all are down with sober curiosity in January, but this year I’m advocating sober consumerism. Starting with The Rule of Five, a campaign headed up by our new fashion columnist Tiffanie Darke, I’m pledging to only buy five new clothing items this year. As with every change, it’s about examining your relationship with a certain habit that can engender transformation. Why do I eat biscuits in the afternoon? Because I’m scratching an itch that could be around boredom, not eating a protein packed lunch or general mindlessness. Looking something in the eye, kicking it, turning it over and picking it apart can help us reset those habits. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy but like the frenzied sugar rush that leaves you bloated and lacklustre, a shopping trolley full of clothes you don’t need is literally no good for anybody. Stop. Think. Curate. Get creative. Understand your needs, and plan accordingly. Wish me luck.

Have a great week.

Why You May Need To Up Your B Vitamins

Just as most of us are deficient in Vitamin D over the winter months (it comes from sunshine), we might also, according to the NHS, be lacking our crucial Bs, which are great for keeping our nervous system in check. Find out how to eat your way to more, naturally.
