After several
sell-out tours, Sir Michael Parkinson is heading back out on the road
to celebrate the publication of his latest book, My Sporting Life–a
love letter to sport, full of insight, heart and humour.
In conversation
with his son Mike, Sir Michael will reflect on his remarkable journey
from a pit village in Yorkshire, via a thwarted ambition to play
cricket for Yorkshire, earning a living watching and writing about
sport, to finally finding himself at the top of those famous stairs as
host of a show that for many defined their Saturday night.

As the search for a new James Bond begins, we showcase
the epic hits of the past from Shirley Bassey, Louis Armstrong, Paul
McCartney and Tom Jones to the more recent hits from Sam Smith, Adele
and Billie Eilish.
Each song is expertly performed by our cast of four
fantastic vocalists including musical theatre and Any Dream Will Do
star Keith Jack!
Linked together using visual and special effects, a
stunt team, dancers and homage paid to the original Bond Sir Sean
Connery, audiences will be taken on an unforgettable musical journey
through the memories, drama and the epicness that is Bond.

Breaking! Our
talented participants danced the day away on Saturday 8 October in a
sponsored Dance-A-Thon challenge and raised an amazing £3,000 for the
Theatre! Our wonderful staff, tutors and supporters joined the
Performance Academy participants alongside their regular dance lessons to
make sure someone was dancing all day long.
Well done to our
brilliant participants for embracing the challenge with loads of energy
and huge smiles! Thank you to everyone who came together to raise money
for the Theatre and spread the joy of performing.
All of the money
raised will go towards supporting our busy participation programme, including our
performing arts training for young people.
Here's what went
down on the day...
