★★★★ "Malorie
Blackman's bestseller leaps off the stage" - The
Observer
Next month an epic adaptation of a
groundbreaking story arrives in Huddersfield. Starting life
as an award-winning novel written by author Malorie
Blackman before hitting our TV screens as a BBC drama
series, the modern classic Noughts & Crosses now
comes to the stage in a spectacular production from one of
the UK's leading theatre companies, Pilot Theatre.
|
"A dynamic,
powerful, compelling show whatever your age" - British Theatre Guide
Sephy is a Cross and Callum is a Nought.
Between Noughts & Crosses there are racial and social
divides. A segregated society teeters on a knife edge. As
violence breaks out, Sephy and Callum draw closer, but this
is a romance that will lead them into terrible danger...
Noughts & Crosses is
a captivating Romeo & Juliet love story set in a
volatile, racially segregated society that explores the
powerful themes of love, revolution and what it means to
grow up in a divided world.
|
★★★★ "A
searing insight into the injustices of the world"
- The
Stage
An important story that speaks directly to
our times, this stage adaptation of Noughts
& Crosses is a thrilling production that
will excite, spark passion and ignite debate. Don't miss

We're thrilled to announce the full cast of
this year's giant pantomime, Jack
and the Beanstalk!
We're pleased to welcome back Hayley
Russell and Joyce Branagh to our pantomime! You
may remember Hayley from when she played Belladonna in our
2019 pantomime Sleeping Beauty. Joyce returns to not only
play King Crackpot, but also to assist Rachel Gee in
directing the show. Joyce directed the first 5 years of our
pantomime, and we're so happy to have her back in the panto
family.
Panto aficionado James McLean takes
to the stage as our big baddie Gru-sum and Emily Spowage
is filling the sassy role of Pat the Cow.
Hayley, Joyce, James and Emily will join our
other panto stars Thomas Cotran, Alyce Liburd
and Pete Toon to make up our full cast this year. We
are also excited to host a young company as part of the
cast this pantomime, for the first time in the last few
years.
Running Fri 2 - Sat 31 December, Jack
and the Beanstalk promises to be filled
with the usual full-of-beans panto fun and frolics we know
and love.
