Last
chance to send your micros!
Today is deadline day for the January monthly micro and you have
until 23.59 (UK time) tonight (Sunday 9th January) to get your
stories to us to us. Quick!
The first and second prize winners share 50% of the entry fees and
the People's Prize winner gets a mystery prize (previously they've
won Community Membership, feedback reports, flash festival tickets,
books, notepads, and lots of lovely writerly things!).
Plus everyone shortlisted gets published and wins a prize too and
all will be entered into our new annual Retreat West Awards.
We can't wait to read your stories inspired by this month's
brilliant prompt!

Freelance
writer needed for our community website
Would you like to work with us? We need a freelance writer who can
write for our community site all about different aspects of fiction
writing. We need 1 article a month to start (up to approx. 750
words) and we can pay a small fee.
You'll also get access to our community to post the stories up
yourself so can take part in all the events we have as well as
getting paid! If you're interested and have lots of writing
experience email us on news@retreatwest.co.uk telling us
why you'd be great for this job! Please do not reply to this email
as we won't be able to read applications sent like that.
An indication of the types of thing you'd write would be good to
know too as you'll need to have lots of ideas as we won't be
telling you what to write.
Applications close at 5pm (UK time) on Monday 10th January. We'll
get back to everyone as soon as we can after that. Look forward to
