Creative Kirklees newsletter

Here is the latest Creative Kirklees newsletter:

Creative Kirklees Newsletter 7 September 2021

It’s September, the sun is shining and there’s so much to feel good about with the amount of creative activity coming our way this month.

Have you checked out what’s coming up at Holmfirth Arts Festival from 17-19 September? With something for all ages and much of it Pay as You Decide, it’s fabulous to see this Festival returning LIVE!

Art at the House also returns live to Cliffe House in Shepley for the 18-19 September weekend, for its 3rd year, promising two days of creative, interactive experiences combined with good food and drink, children's activities and music.

Also on Saturday 18 September, there’s a fabulous opportunity to see Proper Job’s new performance 'The Town That Bought Itself" for FREE. An outdoor, promenade street show bringing the history of Huddersfield to life. With singing and dancing, from Ramsden's to Rugby. Follow their historical characters through the streets of Huddersfield as they bring the history all around us to life. A family friendly event for one day only!

Almost upon us is the Kirklees Concert Season with a wonderful range of concerts beginning in September and running all the way through to April 2022.

Amongst the superb selection of shows on offer at the LBT, their monthly Comedy Cellar nights are back and for those who fancy starting a new activity there are workshops and courses galore to enjoy.

Finally, we are very excited for the Pre-Launch event for the Year of Music 2023 on Wednesday 22 September at the Lawrence Batley Theatre (everyone’s invited – check out the Eventbrite booking link here!) – more details to appear in next week’s newsletter!

Until then ……
