Cleckheaton Writers Group met on Monday, Karen and Sam having passed on their apologies
Present: Sarah, Alice, Gemma, Mandy
Mandy – has two freelance editing jobs, editing collections of poetry for her publishers. Not done much writing.
Alice – editing her book based on feedback from a publisher
and doing NaNoWriMo prep on a different book.
Gemma – more research and feels like she needs to work more
on her male characters, giving the prison chaplain a bigger role.
Sarah – editing book two – about 75% through now – using
Save the Cat story beats.
Gemma is feeling a bit overwhelmed by the research and feels like she maybe needs to take a bit of a break. Both Alice and Gemma are taking part in NaNoWriMo so this might be an opportunity to push through with the story and not worry too much about the research.
