Words in the Winter, Bradford Literature Festival, 7-8 December

Coming up in December:





We are excited to announce a weekend of spectacular events taking place this December.

On Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December 2019,
an uplifting mini-programme of events will take place at venues across the city, including the Broadway Bradford, Kala Sangam, Bread + Roses and more.

Join us as we celebrate the literature and poetry of 2019, offer a platform to new voices, and invite families and children of all ages to take part in making and storytelling with a festive twist!

Saturday 7th December | 10am - 5pm

We'll be at the Broadway Bradford with festival craft extraordinaire Morwenna Catt! Join us for FREE, drop-in craft activity for children of all ages.

Saturday 7th December | 5pm - 7pm

Our Poetry Open Mic Night returns to Bread + Roses, offering a platform to young poets aged 14-19. This is a supportive and welcoming night of poetry for young people; book a slot in advance, or come along on the night and see how you feel.

Sunday 8th December | 7pm

Join us at Kala Sangam for an evening of poetry with some of the most celebrated and inspiring poets of 2019. Featuring artist, writer and "Instapoet" Nikita Gill and T.S. Eliot Prize nominee Roger Robinson.
