Get it Loud in
Libraries: Jeffrey Lewis
Our
sixth Get it Loud in Libraries gig and what a way to start the year.
Native New Yorker and 'true indie rock cult leader'
(Loud and Quiet), Jeffrey Lewis will take to the stage at
Huddersfield Library on January 19th - don't miss anti-folk at it's
best.
Louder than War 9/10 “He’s a beautiful anomaly in the
modern world and we should treasure him whilst we have his lo-fi,
DIY, intricate songs that hold up mirrors to ourselves and the
world.”
Q Magazine 4 stars “It’s still astonishing what
Jeffrey Lewis can cram into one song. Electrifying. Again”
Mojo 4 stars “ bad wiring is thick with the evergreen anti-folkie’s
charm”

Comedy Women
in Print
Calling
all witty women writers
The Comedy Women in Print Prize was launched in 2019
to showcase the best of funny female fiction. Submissions are now
open for the 2020 Prize, and once again they are looking for a
brilliant, as yet undiscovered, unpublished manuscript to win a
publishing deal with Harper Collins.
If you, or someone you know, is a funny female writer,
who has so far not been published, please enter your manuscript for
the Prize.
Entries close on Monday 2nd March, so there is still
time to get that manuscript finished off over Christmas!
Full details are on the CWIP website - the Prize has
already changed lives, and you could be next! https://www.comedywomeninprint.co.uk/how-to-enter
To find out the latest about the Prize, you can follow them on social
