Turnover at Carlton Books declined last year by 26%, caused by the end of the colouring book boom and management transitions, according to accounts filed on Companies House.

Chatto & Windus has signed an "unflinching" new novel from Sadie Jones called The Snakes, telling the story of a marriage and a family whose sins come back to bite them. 
Cengage
Cengage has reached a resolution in the court case which had seen two authors file a suit in the US over the inclusion of their work in Cengage's subscription service, Cengage Unlimited, launched late in 2017.

Picador has acquired international rights to Sweet Home, the debut collection of short stories from Belfast-based writer Wendy Erskine, first published in Ireland and Northern Ireland by Stinging Fly.
