Alnwick Castle After Dark For the first time ever under the cover of darkness, Alnwick Castle is allowing a limited number of brave visitors within its walls, with the help of a guide, to hear tales steeped for years in the castle’s history. The poor lost souls of ancient Northumberland, long forgotten over the centuries now clamour for attention. Was that a dim figure flitting in the darkness or just a shadow of the imagination?  Did you feel a soft stroke on your face, or was it a cobweb? Feel and hear the anguish of the restless souls who lived within the walls of Alnwick Castle centuries ago. Hear their dark and terrible tales – not fit for the glare of daylight.
