This Weeks Break-Even
Nikka Yoichi 10 Year Old
This week we have the jewel in Nikka’s crown, a traditionally made, impeccably crafted Japanese single malt.
Unavailable since 2015, this ten year old, elegantly peaty single malt hails from Nikka’s beautiful Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido, where whisky is made as it used to be in Scotland with small direct-fired stills and matured in the finest wood the company can find. Bottled at 45% for extra oomph.
On the face of it, this is expensive for a ten year old whisky, but it’s well worth the money in quality terms
Break-Even Price £6.28 | Usual Price £23.63
News
The Domino Club has been recognised as one of the worlds best bars.
We’re beyond happy to announce that we've been awarded a pin from the Pinnacle Guide.
To put this in perspective, a bar receiving a pin is often compared to a restaurant receiving a Michelin star.
It’s a big deal!
We're incredibly proud that the hard work and dedication our team put into their craft has been recognised on a global stage.
After nine years of operating, we're still marching forward.
Cheers!
Upcoming Highlights
WY got Soul
Tuesday 15th September | 7pm
Join us for our debut WY Got Soul.
WY Got Soul was conceived as a platform to shine a light on the soulful side of West Yorkshire!
Each event will feature four acts, each playing for 15 minutes, followed by an open jam session.
Come along, we're sure you'll agree that WY got Soul.
Hot-Foot Powder play mix of music from the 1950s and 1960s: Chicago blues, rock n roll and rhythm and blues, combining raw intensity with infectious groove.
Expect foot-stomping performances and high-energy musicianship.
Alligator Gumbo is an exciting and energetic band inspired by the sights and sounds of New Orleans jazz and blues! Performing extensively around the UK since 2011, the band continues to wow audiences far and wide with their good-natured mix of foot-stomping toe-tapping tunes and big brass.
Spanning a range of 4 octaves, Elena Maya's soulful vocals are reminiscent of Golden Era artists such as Etta James, Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin.
The Northern Star Organ trio formed in 2023 as an informal meet up between three old friends. We quickly realised a strong musical connection and started to play out live in the North of England. The trio consists of Bruce Renshaw (drums), Rob Bromhead (guitar), and Bob Birch (Hammond organ). The combo play a mixture of instrument soul classics, rare groove and original tunes with a definite nod to 1960’s Blue Note recordings.
