Wednesday, September 2nd | September is shaping up to be an exciting month for culture, creativity and community across Kirklees. Heritage Open Days returns from 11-20 September with more than 90 free events/open sites across the region. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore hidden gems, uncover fascinating local stories and celebrate this year's theme, Everyday Histories and Working Lives. Food lovers can look forward to the much-loved Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival on 12-13 September, bringing together delicious local produce, street food, live music and family entertainment. Later in the month, from 21-27 September, celebrations will mark the opening of the new Library Hub and public square at Our Cultural Heart, with a week of activities, workshops, performances and events for all ages. There's also a change coming up for the Kirklees music community, when the Music in Kirklees website will close and become part of Creative Kirklees from 26 September, creating a more connected home for music news, events, opportunities and local stories.
