Creative Future writing workshops
We have a small number of places remaining for our upcoming workshops:
Writing Creative Non-Fiction
Tuesdays: 4 - 25 Nov, 6 - 8pm
Surface Tension: Poetry and Visual Art
Mondays: 23 Nov - 14 Dec, 6 - 8pm
Both workshops take place online over four sessions and are led by past winners of the Creative Future Writers' Award.

Welcome to our two new Creative Future Trustees
We're excited to welcome two new trustees to Creative Future, Priscilla Yeung (left) and Reem Maghribi (right).
Priscilla is a literary writer and ACA-qualified accountant based in London, originally from Hong Kong. Reem is a writer, oral historian, story consultant and multi-disciplinary artist based in London.
We'd also like to say a big thank you to outgoing trustee, Janet Farr, for all her commitment and support in recent years.

Writers' HQ: The Writing as Resistance Festival
1 - 30 September
Spend a month exploring the radical, political and subversive nature of stories with this year's Writers' HQ Writing as Resistance Festival. For the first time, the festival has a theme. Here Where We Live is an exploration of what home means in a fractured world, when the ground under our feet, the air we breathe, is constantly shifting, always political, never entirely certain.
When the world is on its knees, what does home mean, and how do we write it? This year's Writers' HQ Writing as Resistance Festival is exploring stories of history, diaspora and belonging.

The Coast Is Queer
15-18 October
The UK’s biggest and brightest LGBTQ+ Literary Festival, returns 15-18 October at The Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts. This year’s event boasts a stellar lineup including Susan Stryker, Patrick Gale, Shon Faye, Sarah Waters, Thomas Glave and many more.
The festival is packed full of mind-opening in-conversation events and panels, practical writing workshops, inspiring poetry performances, and demystifying publishing industry events. It is a space for queer readers, writers and allies to come together in a grassroots celebration of the written word and its ability to illuminate and enrich the life of our community, all the more vital in the current moment.
