Kirklees Libraries are creating MakerSpaces in Huddersfield and Dewsbury Libraries. They will provide collaborative workspaces with equipment and technologies which support creative projects involving materials like textiles, wood, metal, plastics and print media. Equipment such as 3D printers, sewing machines and large format printers will be available. Smaller creative resources will be available for activities such as printmaking, jewellery making and textiles. There will also be a focus upon digital technologies and design. We are carrying out a survey to ensure we hear the views of our community, to influence how we use our MakerSpaces, and to ensure they meet the needs of the people of Kirklees. The online survey can be accessed here: Kirklees Libraries - MakerSpace survey
