The
Taste of Things @ Seven
Back to school : Back to reality! To
soften the blow we've a full programme of events at Seven, starting on Thursday 12th September 7.30pm,
with Screen Seven - The Taste of
Things. The movie follows the story of the relationship
between Eugenie, an esteemed cook, and Dodin, the gourmet she has been
working for over the last 20 years. Stars Juliette Binoche. Directed by
Anh Hung Tran. Seven

On Friday 13th
September 8pm, a welcome return for James Lascelles – Talking
Spirits. James Lascelles (Frank Zappa, Breakfast Band, Joan
Armatrading, Lee Scratch Perry) returns to Seven with friends, bringing
their unique blend of original world music on various keys and
percussion.Seven

Autumn Sessions
continue on Saturday
14th September 4-6pm with Sentamentalists.
Presenting songs of melancholy, dark humour and gentle defiance,
Sentimentalists stand for lyricism, lovely music, and character. Mark
Radcliffe (BBC radio) recently described the band as “truly
marvellous”. Seven

On Saturday 14th
September, 7.30pm, look forward to The John Hackett Band with
The Blackheart Orchestra. The John Hackett Band embodies the
spirit of progressive rock, the band embracing pop, rock, jazz,
classical, funk and all stops in-between, from the tenderest of ballads
to hair-raising instrumental workouts. Meanwhile The Blackheart
Orchestra is officially the smallest orchestra in the world. Seven Venue.£15 advance / £17 on
the door.
And on Sunday 15th
September, 1.30 pm - 4pm, JazzLeeds – Ricardo Alvarez
with his Quartet. Ricardo Alvarez is a Chilean
saxophonist and composer. He lived in the UK in York, between 2010-18.
While here he presented his first album “Huay Not” at Seven Arts in
2018. Seven Venue. £12

Also, Sunday 15th
September, 7pm, get ready to test you knowledge at the Seven Quiz in a
relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends and
family. Seven Bar. £5
per team entry. 7pm start. With prizes.
