As Harmonies @ Seven
Tonight, Wednesday
25th September 7.30pm, it's the monthly outing for Silky & Friends
with headliners, Nina Gilligan, winner of the prestigious
Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award in 2021, and Lee Kyle,
described by the BBC as a "top up-and-coming comedy
performer," who has spent much of his life on a never-ending quest
to avoid having a proper job. And, Silky as host. £12 /£10 conc
Tomorrow, Thursday
26th September 7.30pm JazzLeeds – Ingrid
Laubrook. An auspicious collaboration between the US and UK
improvised music scenes, this quartet brings together two stalwart
voices of the New York creative music community, Ingrid Laubrook with
Tom Rainey, alongside a pair of the most in-demand collaborators in the
North of England, Adrian Pope and Jonny Hunter. £20/18 in advance; £20 on the
door. Under 30s £10.
Tangled Up In Blue
perform on Friday 27th
September, 8pm. Oct /Nov 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of
Bob Dylan writing and recording the songs that would comprise his now
classic “confessional” album Blood On The Tracks, celebrated here by
Yorkshire musicians in a night of acoustic music. Doors 7.30pm. £15.
On Saturday 28th
September, 4-6pm, Autumn Sessions – Tim &
Simon, two affable middle-aged music-lovers who currently
have nothing better to do than devise inoffensive arrangements of their
favourite classic songs for piano, guitar and two passable voices. They
have yet to be sued by any of the original performers, who include the
two Pauls (Simon and McCartney), The Kinks, David Bowie, Steely Dan,
Lou Reed, 10CC and Cat Stevens. Seven

September, SAA-UK and Rhythmosaic invite you to Double Bill - Memories as
Harmonies, an enchanting evening of live music and dance,
featuring leading exponents of Raagdhari music and Kathak dance. £10 standard, £7 conc, £5 nder
30’s.
On Sunday 29th
September, 7.30pm, get ready to test you knowledge at the Seven Quiz in a
relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends and
family. Seven Bar. £5
per team entry. 7.30pm start. With prizes.
