Dear Reader,

Did you get Oasis tickets? Don’t tell me, I already know from socials: TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, generation dependent. I’ve been a bit bewildered seeing the absolute frenzy this reunion has sparked, but even more so watching the conversations play out around who ‘deserves’ tickets more, Gen-Z, hot off the back of the Eras tour and now keen to catch Wonderwall live, or Millennials and Gen-X, who were there for the rise and fall (helpfully summarised by Gen-Zer Liv here) the first time around and have been ‘waiting 15 years’ for this tour. My take? Having seen them live twice back in my day, the only downside of an Oasis gig, much like the football, is the rowdy crowd, so a more diverse audience is always a win. No tickets for me, (I spend all my gig money on football boots for my son nowadays) but will they even make it through the tour together? How many special people change?

WHAT’S EXCITING ME THIS WEEK

Summer of Sport

Summer might feel like it’s coming to an end but there’s still time to catch some summer sports before it’s back to my regular F1, football schedule. Here’s how to catch all the action from the Paralympics, which are underway now.

Back To School

I spend half my life making school lunches, the other half making dinners on the run to be consumed on the way to football training. I’m fresh out of ideas and hugely grateful to Ellie for this selection of healthy lunch ideas just in time for the new school year.

48 Hours In West Hollywood

As the sun sets on the summer holidays, the trip I took to LA at the start of summer feels like a distant memory, but not too distant to tell you all about it in my Weekender guide. If you’re thinking of heading to the City of Angels anytime soon, I’d highly recommend making WeHo your base.
