take to the floor. This month, stand-up from rising-star, Newcastle’s
hilarious Louise Young, from Simon Lomas, ungainly and socially awkward
geek making waves, who will doubtless go onto big things…….and Daniel

On Thursday 27th
April, 7.30pm, look forward to South Asian Arts UK –
Tritiya Prakriti: The Third Gender ,a
brand-new, ground-breaking South Asian dance piece exploring the
role of non-binary people in ancient Hindu mythology. £10.
This coming weekend the ever popular Pop-up – Shouk serving
Middle Eastern street food serving up the fluffiest pitas, insanely
good loaded fries, and some of the best falafel in town. Friday 28th April 5-8, Saturday
29th April 12-8, and Sunday 30th April 12-5.
In a complete change of musical tone, on Friday 28th April, 7.30pm, An Evening with Roundhay
Ukulele Group. Jen and Richard’s arrangements include a wide
variety of songs from the world of rock, pop and soul, and include
solos and riffs on top of the chordal backing. £6.

29th April, 7.30pm are three celebrated contemporary
singer-songwriters, presenting an atmospheric evening of indie-folk and
alternative acoustic music. Each of these artists has received acclaim

On Sunday 30th April,
1:30 - 4pm, to celebrate International Jazz Day JazzLeeds – Corrie Dick
“Sun Swells” Quintet , a band led by the rhythmic epicentre
of a new era of innovative British jazz, Corrie Dick, a musician and
composer lauded for his dynamism, melodic slant and his playfully
subversive take on style and genre. £12

Also on Sunday 30th April, 7pm, the Seven Quiz,
this and every Sunday, is a great way to stretch those little grey
cells and compete in a friendly atmosphere with friends and family. £5 / team. Seven Bar. With

3rd May, 6-7.15pm, Rush Hour Jazz – Trish
Heenan Quartet, her two albums document a warm, characterful
voice. Chill out with a drink and enjoy great jazz in Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel.
Also on Wednesday 3rd
May, 7.30pm, Murder Inc.The show is a wholly
improvised crime story. The cast take your suggestions and weave a
sordid tale for you that is pacy and packed with belly laughs and it's
your job to make your best guess of ‘whodunnit’ before the show is
over. Great fun. £10
We're not really doing The Coronation at Seven so get away from it all
with JazzLeeds – Leeds
University Union Big Band on Sunday 7th May 1:30 - 4pm. Their
repertoire features tunes by the likes of Count Basie and Thad Jones,
and with Big Band arrangements of pop tunes ranging from Michael
Jackson to Justin Timberlake. £12/10
