Wednesday, April 26th
|
Welcome to this week’s newsletter
featuring a selection of arts and creative activities across Kirklees
over the next few weeks.
Have you got your tickets
yet for In
Conversation with Dame Evelyn Glennie? Don’t miss
this launch event for Manasamitra’s Festival of Conversations, and
find out about Evelyn’s experience as the first full-time solo
percussionist in the world and her unique approach to sound.
You can get your fix of
music from two festivals coming up in May – Holmfirth Festival of Folk
and &Piano.
We have included a few in this newsletter, but you can see all their
events on our Festivals
page,
Looking ahead to June, we
wanted to let you know about two organ concerts featuring the Father
Willis organ as you've never heard it before! On 8 June, From
Pub to Pulpit will see singers raising the roof
at a rousing concert, turning folk songs into hymns to celebrate
Ralph Vaughan Williams. On 12 June, Organic
Doom Vol. 1 featuring ArĂ° and Pantheist offers
fans of heavy metal and organ music a unique, unforgettable
experience as two doom metal bands join forces with the celebrated
pipe organ for a live concert. Get your tickets now!
To find out the full
selection of what's going on in Kirklees, visit the Creative Kirklees website
and for those looking for Coronation
activities we have a page for that too.
