Cleckheaton Writers Group (CWG) met on Monday 3 April at Cleckheaton Library with Cassie, Gemma, Karen, Michelle and new member Wendy in attendance, Alice having passed on her apologies.
CWG members welcomed new member Wendy and introduced themselves discussing genres and writing history. Wendy explained she was previously a member of another writing group in Halifax and that she used to work at Cleckheaton Library.
The minutes from the previous meeting were passed.
WIP updates: Karen has taken part in the MG Hub picture book synopsis swap, having given feedback on both and awaiting feedback on her own, plus found out she has not been chosen for a CBNorth mentorship. Gemma has been editing and has discovered a novel with a similar premise to her own which had won the Daily Mail prize.

Feedback sessions: No-one had brought work to share.
Writing plans: Karen hopes to do some editing, as does Gemma. Michelle will continue writing her Ryan WIP. Wendy hopes to attempt the writing challenge and Cassie her U3A writing class story.
