Like It Hot @ Seven
With good weather at last, it feels
like summer has finally arived and we've a couple of outdoor events to
make the most of it. Tomorrow, Thursday
14th July 9pm, catch Leeds Morris Men.
Leeds Morris Men have been performing in towns and villages around
Leeds since 1950, so come along and be part of the tradition. In Seven Courtyard. Free.
Also, on Thursday 14th
July, 7.30pm, it is Cafe Economique – ‘Members’
Evening. Particpants can propose topics to discuss for 10-15
minutes, which will be followed by a debate with the audience. £4 on the door.
A real treat, this weekend's Pop-up – Ka Bao
will be serving bao buns, fried chicken and other deights with veggie
& vegan options. From
Friday 15th July, 5pm, Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th July, from 12 noon-5
pm.
On Friday 15th July, 7pm,
look forward to Lamin African Roots Band –
‘Fusion’. Lamin, based in Leeds plays a unique blend of
music styles and rhythms from Reggae, Afrobeat, Soca, Latin and Salsa
beats. Perfect vibe for a summer evening. £12 / £10 conc.
Summer Saturdays continue
with Ben Greenwell on Saturday 16th July, 5pm - 7pm.
This Keighley-based singer-songwriter plays folk, blues, jazz,
Americana and more. Pay
What You Feel. In Seven Courtyard. Venue if bad weather. Organised by
MEWL Music
On Sunday 17th
July, 1.30 - 4pm, the Sunday Jazz concert is B. D. Lenz.
Jazz Leeds favourite, US guitarist B.D. Lenz mixes together the styles
of Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, and Stevie Ray Vaughan and you have B.D.’s
recipe. Doors 1.15pm.
£10 full / £8 conc. Under 25s £5. Under 16s free.

July, 7pm, the Sunday Quiz.
Test your knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the
weekend with friends. £5
per team entry. After tonight’s quiz there will be a break until Sunday
