"And we are, we are, we are
Batley."
Join us for the premiere performances of The Batley Variations.
This brand new production was created from stories which were
collected from the people of North Kirklees over the summer. These
stories have since been set to music to become The Batley
Variations: the inside story of a Northern town.
You'll hear songs about local heroes, legends and the places you
know including Fox's Biscuits, the infamous Golden Mile and Batley
Bulldogs.
Featuring a large cast of local performers, digital projections and
live performance The
Batley Variations is directed by Alan Dix, written
by Mike Kenny (international playwright and Olivier Award winner
for his adaptation of The Railway Children) and composed by Richard
Taylor (winner of two UK Theatre Awards).
For The
Batley Variations St Mary’s Social Club will be
transformed into a spectacular cabaret environment. Join us for
this unique musical and visual pre-Christmas treat.
