2019, led by award-winning author Zoe Gilbert.
Do you look to folklore, magic and the supernatural for inspiration in
your writing? Then this course is for you; designed to help you capture

Khaled
Hosseini, author of The
Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and And the Mountains Echoed,
will be making a rare London appearance at the Southbank Centre this
coming Tuesday (4th September 2018).
The evening will see Hosseini in conversation with journalist Razia Iqbal
about the inspiration behind his latest book, an illustrated story
called Sea Prayer, and
what fiction can do in dark times.
Originally produced in collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Sea Prayer was
first released as a Guardian virtual film in September 2017. Each ticket includes a copy of
the book, available to collect on the night and a
portion of the proceeds from the event will go to UNHCR.

We're joining forces with author Caroline Green to
host another engaging five-week writing course that takes you through the
process of writing for children.
This is a creative space for writers at any stage of the
writing process, and the story elements discussed apply to books
for middle grade and young adult, as well as being applicable
to authors of picture books.
Caroline will also be joined by leading children's fiction literary
agent Catherine
Clarke, and Peter Bunzl,
best-selling author of The
Cogheart Adventure series.
