age makes a difference in all sorts of ways, but why, and does it always

On Wednesday 23 May, 7pm, look
forward to a Wine Tasting Event –
Putting The Boot In, a vinous odyssey of Southern Italy
& the Islands. A chance to taste six different wines from Southern
Italy with Peter Fawcett of Field & Fawcett Wine Merchants fame
alongside some Italian style nibbles from Seven Arts Kitchen. £10.
On Saturday 26 May, 7.30pm,
Script Yorkshire - Page To
Stage. Five sharp, thought provoking pieces by writers from
across the Yorkshire region performed script in hand, giving writers
the opportunity to see their work start to come to life. Followed by a
panel-led discussion enabling the writers to develop their work

And on Sunday 27 May 1.30-4pm JazzLeeds – Eastgate Big
Band plays Basie. The band will take you back to the early
50s for a period-correct performance of Count Basie’s repertoire. No
amps, no PA, no mics, no keyboard! Suit up, grab a drink and enjoy a

Many of us were spellbound watching Major Tim Peake's space adventure –
from launch and arrival at the International Space Station in 2015, to
his experiments, spacewalk and marathon during six months in orbit, and
his thrilling return to Earth in June 2016.
Yesterday
Tim Peake visited the National Museum of Scotland to mark the arrival at
the museum of the actual 1.5 tonne Soyuz descent module that carried him
safely home. Come and see this piece of space history for yourself and
experience what it's like to be an astronaut with a thrilling virtual
reality adventure.

Scottish venue on the national tour of this iconic piece of space

objects and learn more about Tim Peake's time in space.
Alongside the capsule, Tim Peake's
spacesuit is on display. This tailor-made Sokol KV-2 spacesuit was worn
during the launch to the space station and the high-speed descent back
to Earth – the most dangerous parts of the mission.
