We're delighted to announce that Andrew Tuck, founding editor of Monocle, will be opening up this year's Marketing and Publicity Conference. Monocle was described last year by The Drum as 'one of the most distinctive global news media brands to have emerged in the UK since the start of this century'. A major success story in stylish magazine publishing, Monocle has now expanded its offering with Monocle Radio, a 24-hour digital radio operation, and The Monocle Book Collection, as well as numerous other creative publishing initiatives. 
Monocle's publisher, Tyler Brûlé, has frequently shared his aversion to social media, though this position doesn't appear to have done the brand any harm in reaching or developing new audiences. Helping us to cut through all the social media hype at this year's conference, Andrew Bruce Smith, founder and Managing Director of Escherman, will enable us to get a handle on what true reach and engagement looks like and how to judge success in an era of increasingly complex digital audience data.

He is also the host of The Urbanist, the Monocle 24 radio show that’s dedicated to making better cities.
