NOVA COLLECTIVE
The
NOVA
COLLECTIVE is an initiative started by Hebden
Bridge Arts Festival in collaboration with Hana
Osborne and Kate Radford to support local young artists. In just one short year
they have produced over 5 events, employed over 10 young people,
and have been assisting young people in the area in their journey
into creative careers. Following a hugely successful
premiere at Northlight Studios earlier this year DISPARATE YOUTH can be experienced at THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL.

CAFÉ CULTURE IS BACK thanks to
grants from Community Foundation for Calderdale and Thomson
Reuters.
Café Culture
is a charming monthly social gathering offering entertaining
afternoons to Calderdale’s over-60s residents, carers and ABSOLUTELY anyone else
who wants to join in – with the aim to celebrate ageing, diversity,
independence and social inclusion.
.
The LIVELY programme
of interactive talks served up with tea, coffee and homemade cakes
are held on the first Thursday each month running from
2.00pm-3.30pm in Hebden Bridge Town Hall. In addition to the talks
the events double-up as an ‘INFORMATION HUB’ of
other events happening about town and handpicked interesting
volunteer opportunities.
If you are a resident in Calderdale and the idea of
being a part of a monthly gathering appeals, or if you belong a
group looking for a monthly trip, then Café Culture is for YOU.
Contact lisa@ribblevalleyweb.net for details.
The NEXT CAFÉ CULTURE takes place
on the Thursday 10th May, which is the 2nd Thursday of
the month due to local elections. The illustrated talk ‘CHARTING A DECADE THE
1960s’ presents
the music, events & personalities of the 60’s. We can’t wait
for this one!
