Staoisha
2013
This week we’ve got a smashing single malt from Bunnahabhain,
this one carries the Staoisha name, meaning you can expect a
peaty flavour profile.
Distilled in 2013, the whisky
was matured in a single hogshead cask which was cracked open in
2022 by the folks at indie bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd,
releasing an outturn of 308 bottles. A palate dominated by peat
smoke, wool jumpers, charcoal and ash, held together with a
pleasingly sweet oak character and a burst of lemon zest. Superb
stuff. Cheers!
