A powerhouse list of inspirational thinkers and speakers awaits you in the months and weeks ahead, and few are more impressive than Linton Kwesi Johnson. The revered writer and activist is in conversation in late June to present his new collection, Time Come.

Then, we invite you to experience the power of the people at a season of talks boasting some of the biggest names tackling the climate emergency.

As a new book collects his non-fiction writing, the time has come to celebrate another side of the revered modern poet Linton Kwesi Johnson.

Written over many decades, ranging across many topics, and venturing into memoir, Time Come is a body of work that creatively and critically explores the politics of race that continue to inform the Black British experience.

Join us for a panoramic view of Johnson’s exceptional life. He is in conversation with professor, journalist and author Gary Younge.

Notes on Compassion: Words, Music and Us

SUN 25 JUN

Marking the 25th year of Refugee Week, an evening of music and spoken word hosted by comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri responds to this year’s theme, Compassion.

There’s performances from AWATE, FaceSoul, Vanessa Kisuule, Kaia Laurielle, Rachel Long, Momtaza Mehri and Sukina Noor, and an original choral performance from Woven Gold.
