Glaston Buried @ Seven


Still time to buy tickets for tonight, Wednesday 7th June, 7.30pm, Murder Inc. - Glaston Buried. This month grab your detective team and come solve a comedy murder mystery set at a music festival. ‘It is fascinating to see a whole web of story, woven before your eyes by this skilful cast’. Canal St £10.

Before Glaston Buried, Wednesday 7th June, 6pm, don't miss Rush Hour Jazz – Ed Kainiek. Ed is an alumnus of the Leeds Jazz Rock Orchestra and now a local legend on both Leeds and Manchester jazz scenes. PWYF Seven Bar.

Tomorrow, Thursday 8th June, 5.30-6.30pm, Meet the Author – Cressida Cowell. Come along to hear Cressida talk about dragons, magic, her childhood inspiration on an unihabited island and give creativity tips. Tickets via The Little Bookshop.

On Friday 9th June, 8pm, Colour of Light – Acoustic Roots Band blend folk, blues, bluegrass and classical influences into their own unique sound. They perform finely crafted original songs delivered by three diverse singer-songwriters combining protest, reflection and celebration. £10

This coming weekend two pop-ups. Mario’s Mobile Kitchen serving authentic Portuguese flavours on Friday 9th June 5-8 and Sunday 11th June 12-5. And Blake's Bites with a small bites menu, all day breakfast burger plus main menu of European flavours, Saturday 10th June 12-8.

Event-wise, on Saturday 10th June, 2pm Cinema For All presents Cinema at Seven – Rye Lane. Set in the South London areas of Peckham and Brixton, the film is titled after the real-life Rye Lane. It stars David Jonsson and Vivian Oparah as two strangers who have a chance encounter, after having both been through recent breakups, and spend the day getting to know each other. PWYF.

JazzLeeds – “Quintet Blue” featuring Denys Baptiste and Nigel Price plays on Sunday 11th June, 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm. Pianist, Alex Webb leads this all star group, with a front-line of two of the UK’s greatest jazz improvisers, tenor saxophonist Denys Baptiste and guitarist, Nigel Price. £12 / £10.

Also on Sunday 11th June, 7pm, the Seven Quiz,  this and every Sunday, is a great way to stretch those little grey cells and compete in a friendly atmosphere with friends and family. £5 / team. Seven Bar. With prizes.
