On Saturday 11th
February, 4-6pm, Winter Warmers – Mark
Wilson, who started out in the Barnsley Coalfield Working
Men’s Clubs singing Elvis covers, but in Leeds he joined a punk band.
Now Mark has decided it’s about time he started putting it about a bit
once more, so here he is. Seven

JazzLeeds on Sunday
12th February 1.30-4pm presents Kjetil Mulelid Trio (from
Norway) One of Norway’s foremost jazz groups musicians, the
band plays a mixture of compositions and pure collective
improvisations. The music is both energetic and intimate with beautiful
melodies and complex rhythms. Doors
1.15pm. £12 full / £10 conc. Kids under 16 free.

also on Sunday 12th
February at 7pm, test your knowledge in a relaxed
atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends. Seven Bar. £5 per team

Kicking off the Seven week on Wednesday
15th February, 11.30am Improvised storytelling where Anything Could Happen.
A treat for half term, the ACH team have missed their creative, crazy
show so much and all our young storytellers too! £4

February, 6-7.15pm, Rush Hour Jazz,
with jazz singer Jenny Hammond, Brendan Duffy on sax and the JazzLeeds
trio, with Jason Scott on keyboard. fabulous stuff. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel.

is Cafe Scientifique – How We
Taste Chocolate presented by Dr Siavash Soltanahmadi, School
of Food Science & Nutrition, University of Leeds. Why do some foods
taste the way they do? Why does chocolate taste really good? Yummy! Hat donations.
On Thursday 16th
February 7pm, look forward to JazzLeeds – Five Gold Rings
– Jami Sheriff Quintet. Five Gold Rings brings the classic
sound of the Blue Note quintet. There’s something for everyone - Blues,
Swing, Afro Cuban, Funk, Hard Bop, Latin – all wrapped up in Jamil’s
exquisite compositions. £16

It's Pottervision on Friday 17th February, 7.30pm. Four
performers are all set to recreate Harry Potter and The Philosopher's
Stone but, when two drop out on the day, Tom and Lukas must go it
alone. £15.
On Saturday 18th
February, 4-6pm Winter Warmers – Sabrina
Piggott (featuring Bob Lockwood). Sabrina will be casting a
spell with her wistful and expertly crafted music. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel.
Also on Saturday 18th
February, 8pm, multi-style improviser violinist, Joana Carvalhas performs
together with Scottish singer /songwriter Stellar Anderson.
Featuring, the album, BREATHE, released in 2022, the Stellar Anderson
Project includes Joana Carvalhas (aka The Tiny Musician). Promises to
be a unqiue evening. £10.
On Sunday 19th
February, 1.30-4pm, JazzLeeds prsents The King
of Swing : A Tribute to Benny Goodman Featuring many
of Goodman’s most famous hits, including Don’t Be That Way, Let’s
Dance, Air Mail Special, Sweet Georgia Brown, King Porter Stomp, and
Sing, Sing, Sing, this band has been thrilling audiences both for
listening and for dancing.
£12 /£10. Kids
under 16 free.
And in the evening at
7pm Flamenco de Leeds – Samuel
Moore Solo Concert. Hailed as “A fantastic flamenco
guitarist” Ian
McMillan, BBC Radio 3, Samuel Moore is fast establishing
himself as one of Europe’s leading flamenco musicians. £14

Leeds
will be feeling the love once again this February as the hugely
popular Valentine’s Fair returns to Millennium Square, Victoria
Gardens and Cookridge Street for its landmark 30th
year this half-term. A huge range of rides, attractions and
games will be available for families and thrill seekers to
enjoy, including 360° spinning ride The Superstar, the 40m-high
Booster Ride, family favourite dodgems, and the much-loved
Leeds Wheel of Light. There will also be a selection of
food stalls on site serving traditional favourites including
hot dogs, churros, donuts, candy floss as well as coffees and
hot chocolate.

date: 80s Classical is back!

We're
really excited to announce that 80s Classical will return to
Leeds on Friday 28 July 2023 featuring iconic songs, original
artists and a live orchestra. Artists announcements and ticket
information will be released week commencing 20 February so set
your alarms to be the first to know more about what has
now become one of the highlights in the city's summer calendar
of events.

Ska & Mod Festival: More artists added to the line-up

Guitar Pop and The Pioneers are joining the bill for this
year's Leeds Ska & Mod festival. Back for its 3rd year
on Sunday 23 July 2023, the festival also features From the
Jam, Bad Manners, The Hotknives and Block 33. Expect an
afternoon of popular songs as well as DJ sets by Trojan
Explosion & DJ Chinky.
