.'Twas just before the holidays, and what did I get?

Another rejection…the tersest one yet!

My manuscript had been tenderly written with care,

Smart edits and proofing—good grammar to spare!

And yet I was losing some sleep every night

Researching literary markets to find those that were right.

With hundreds of options but not much time,

I stayed up till dawn—and I had work at nine!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But an editor riding a tiny reindeer!

(Hey, I was sleep-deprived from all that researching! Anyway, the editor said…)

Send novels, and memoirs, and short prose, and poems

To the Writer’s Relief elves; their skills are well-known!

Want to get published? They can boost your chances!

Submit to the Review Board and secure second glances!

For twenty-eight years, they’ve helped writers accrue

More than twenty-three thousand acceptances—yahoo!

And this year alone, clients got all their kicks

From counting acceptances: eleven-hundred-twenty-six!

With visions of better submissions dancing in my head,

“I resolve to get published in 2023,” I said.

With a wink and a nod, I submitted my work,

To the Writer’s Relief Review Board, then turned with a jerk.

Now I’ll dash away stress—and get more time to write!

I pulled up the covers and closed my eyes tight.

And I had to exclaim as I settled to sleep,

Getting published is easier with Writer’s Relief!

Happy Holidays to all, and please don’t delay,

Submit to the Review Board—and do it today!

At Writer’s Relief, we’ve been helping writers make effective, targeted submissions since 1994. If your New Year’s resolution is to be published in 2023, the time to act is now. We’re accepting new clients on a limited basis.

Genres:

·       Books (novels, memoirs, etc.)

·       Poetry

·       Short stories and personal essays

Give yourself the gift of more writing time and less research stress. Submit your work to the Review Board today!

DEADLINE: Thursday, December 22 (best not to wait until deadline)
