Fanny Fougerat
Marin Fins Bois
Marin 2011 is
a Hors-Série (special issue or limited edition) Cognac by auteur
producer Fanny Fougerat, who specialises in innovative new ideas
for Cognac.
For this Marin
2011, two casks were specially made with staves which
were seasoned at an oyster farm on the island of Ré off
the French coast near La Rochelle, soaking up sea spray for a
year before being made into casks. A 2011 vintage Fougerat cognac
from the Fins Bois appellation was then re-racked into the casks
to finish for just 13 days - plenty of time for the Cognac to
pick up a delicious coastal, saline edge.
