Thanks to Gemma for taking the minutes in my absence:
Present:
Dali, Kathy, Barbara, Gemma
Apologies: Alice and Karen
Since
last time:
Dali
has done a drabble, Barbara has done a drabble, dribbles and a short story.
Kathy read and gave feedback on Karen's 3 chapters. Gemma has been
editing.
Feedback:
Dali
read a drabble inspired by a poem about a hare. The Scottish creature was
asking a man how many lives he had. It was intriguing and curious. Dali
also read a poem about her dad, which was restrained and moving.
Barbara
read a drabble inspired by Halloween, featuring cobwebs. Some of us could
identify! Barbara read a short story called 'How the crocodile lost her teeth',
inspired by left behind dentures. It was a forceful piece.
Several
of these were inspired by real life events and sparked a conversation about
using writing as an outlet and for mental health.
Plans:
Dali
might write something. Kathy is in a busy period at work so no promises!
Barbara is looking at writing about Quakers. Gemma will be editing.
