Submit your best work to our annual Summer Flash
Writing Contest! We're eager to receive your submissions
to this year's competition. As always, your submissions must be
written in 1,000 words or less, but both fiction and nonfiction
entries are welcome.
No matter where you place, you can opt to have one of your
submissions critiqued for an additional fee. Once judging is
complete, three stories will be selected as our winners. Our
grand-prize winner will receive $1,000, our second-place winner
will receive $500, and our third-place winner will receive $250.
The first-place story will also appear in a print issue of The
Writer.
The deadline to submit is August 29, but we do have earlybird
pricing available if you enter by August 15. We look forward to
reading all of your submissions. Good luck!
