Tonight, Wednesday
13th October, 7.30pm, award-winning comedy show Discount Comedy Checkout.
Prepare yourself for a night of hilarious improvised comedy. No show is
the same and is created by you, the audience! This doesn’t mean we
hound you – it’s literally join in if you want to. £10.
The JazzLeeds – Ari Hoenig Trio concert
on Friday 15th October is SOLD OUT unfortunately, but, never
fear, tickets are available for Sunday's Ancient Infinity Orchestra.
This weekend, look forward to Pop-up – Shouk Street Food,
serving 100% plant based Middle Eastern Feast Food. Friday 15th October from 5pm,
Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th October from 12 noon.
On Saturday 16th
October, Leeds is providing a welcome and support for
Spanish walkers from Zaragoza, who started at Portsmouth on 1st
October, making their way to COP26 Glasgow. They will be greeted at
Seven around 1pm with music in Seven's Courtyard from Bassa Bassa &
Friends. PWYF

Also on Saturday 16th
October 7.30pm, a Book Launch of Ray Brown's
: WHOOSH! Set in Leeds, 1979, the year of Thatcher’s
election and the death of Sid Vicious, WHOOSH! is fictional snapshot of
a real time and place. Hosted by Mike McGowan, Ray will read, answer
questions, sign books, and possibly tell the odd stunning joke. Free event.
On Sunday 17th
October, 1.30-4pm, JazzLeeds – Ancient
Infinity Orchestra presents eleven musicians, conducted
cacophonies, rivers of shimmering bells, often described as a cosmic
and meditational experience. Led by bassist and composer, Ozzy Moysey. Tickets £10 full / £8 conc.
Under 25s £5.
And, don't forget, a great way to end the weekend, also on Sunday 17th October, 7pm, the Seven Quiz
Test your knowledge in a relaxed environment. £5 per team.
